The Royal Household Bureau announces changes to the visiting hours and access routes for paying respects to the Royal Remains of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall, Grand Palace, as well as updated visitor routes within the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, effective from Saturday, 21 February 2026 onwards.


1. Paying Respects at Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall

(Grand Palace)


-Open daily from 08:00 – 20:00 hrs. (effective 21 February 2026 onwards)

-Visits are divided into 5 time slots as follows:

08:15 – 09:15 hrs.

11:00 – 13:15 hrs.

15:00 – 16:00 hrs.

17:30 – 18:30 hrs.

19:30 – 20:00 hrs.


Visitors must pass through the security screening and registration point at the underground walkway tunnel at Na Phra Lan Road (screening closes at 19:00 hrs.).


Entry via Mani Nopparat Gate, and follow the designated route set by the Royal Household Bureau.


Dress code: Respectful mourning attire is required.

Men: No jeans permitted.

Women: Skirt or traditional wrap only.


2. General Public Visit to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha


-Open to visitors as usual from 9 November 2025 onwards, daily from 08:30 – 15:30 hrs.

-Entry via Mani Nopparat Gate, subject to security screening.

-Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall is closed to general sightseeing.

-Visitors are requested to exit via Chakri Charany Road through Phiman Chai Si Gate, turn left in front of the Bureau of the Royal Household, to visit the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, and then exit the Grand Palace via Wiman Thewet Gate.
