Malaysian Ambassador and Commissioner of Tourist Police Visit and Provide Close Support to Incident Victims
Today (9 August 2025), the Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand, together with Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Phuak-um, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, visited and extended moral support to two Malaysian tourists injured in the 7 August incident in Bangkok.
The delegation met with the victims’ relatives to inquire about their condition, offer encouragement, and explain the assistance and compensation process, including facilitating documentation, liaising with insurance companies, and accessing the Thai Government’s Foreign Tourist Assistance Program.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Phuak-um stated that Tourist Police officers have been assigned to the hospital to provide close assistance, including facilitating foreign language communication and coordinating with relevant agencies such as the hospital, insurance companies, and security agencies to ensure swift and comprehensive support. He also emphasized that security measures in key tourist areas will be strengthened to build confidence among international visitors, in line with the policy of the Minister of Tourism and Sports.
วันนี้ (9 ส.ค. 2568) Mr. Bong Yik Jui Charge d’Affaires a.i. สถานเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำประเทศไทย พร้อมด้วย พล.ต.ท.ศักย์ศิรา เผือกอ่ำ ผู้บัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว และนายเศกสันฐ์ ง้าวสุวรรณ์ ผู้ช่วยปลัดกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เข้าเยี่ยมและให้กำลังใจนักท่องเที่ยวชาวมาเลเซียที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บจากเหตุการณ์วันที่ 7 ส.ค. ณ โรงพยาบาลตำรวจ และโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์
กองบัญชาการตำรวจท่องเที่ยวร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียและกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา ให้การช่วยเหลืออย่างใกล้ชิด ทั้งด้านการเดินทาง การสื่อสารภาษาต่างประเทศ และการประสานงานกับโรงพยาบาลและบริษัทประกันภัย เพื่อให้ความช่วยเหลือเป็นไปอย่างรวดเร็ว ครบถ้วน และมีประสิทธิภาพ พร้อมเสริมมาตรการดูแลความปลอดภัยในพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญ เพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจแก่นักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ ตามนโยบายรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา
