Tourist Police Commissioner Launches Helmet Campaign to Reduce Road Accidents and Promote Safe Riding for Tourists in Phuket, Fostering a Culture of Safety in Tourist Destinations

Phuket, 11 September 2025 – Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Pheuak-um, Commissioner of the Tourist Police, presided over the launch of the “Helmet Campaign to Reduce Road Accidents and Promote Safe Riding for Tourists” at Cherng Talay Subdistrict Municipality, Phuket. The event was attended by Phuket Provincial Police, representatives from the British Embassy, the Chinese Consulate in Phuket, CP All Public Company Limited, Laguna Phuket Club Co., Ltd., Cherng Talay Pattana Co., Ltd., 9Concrete Munkong Co., Ltd., and other partner organizations.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of safe riding practices and promote helmet use as a road safety culture, which helps reduce the severity of injuries in accidents and enhances tourism safety standards. Activities during the event included public education on safe riding and the distribution of helmets to tourists and local residents.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira stated that wearing helmets not only reduces the severity of accidents but also helps foster a culture of safety and a positive image of the country, boosting tourists’ confidence. He also expressed his appreciation to all participating organizations for their cooperation in making this campaign a
