ree

The Tourist Police Bureau has launched proactive nationwide operations in response to directives from the Government and the Royal Thai Police, aiming to enhance safety measures and improve services for both domestic and international visitors. The initiative seeks to build stronger confidence among tourists while strictly enforcing laws to prevent crimes, fraud, and other illegal activities that impact the tourism industry.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Pheuak-um, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, led a coordinated deployment of officers from 32 tourist police stations nationwide. The operations are being conducted in close cooperation with government agencies, private sector partners, and volunteer networks of both Thai and foreign nationals. A nationwide police mobilization was launched simultaneously on Saturday, 18 October 2025, at 17:00 hrs.

The operation focuses on enforcing the “10 Prohibited Groups of Activities” policy, which targets illegal tour operations, unlicensed tour guides, substandard tour services, tourist scams, transnational crimes, and other related offenses. The enforcement campaign will be carried out from 18 to 25 October 2025 as part of broader efforts to strengthen safety standards, enhance the travel experience, and reinforce Thailand’s image as a safe and welcoming destination for visitors from around the world.
